May 14, 2009 – Edgetech I.G. has passed its most recent quality audit by Smithers Quality Assessments, Inc., earning the recently released International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 with design certification. Its entire quality system for the manufacture of Super Spacer products was reviewed and certified to the standard.
The company says the updated standard ensures consistent product quality through a systematic approach to process management. Edgetech earned the ISO 9001:2000 certification in July 2008, and passed the newer standard less than a year later.
Released this year, ISO 9001:2008 is a set of standardized requirements that take a systematic approach to managing an organization's processes so that it consistently manufactures products that satisfy customer expectations.
