US Horizon introduces Economy Beveled Series
us_horizon_hinge_for_webAug. 24, 2010 – US Horizon (USH), a supplier to the frameless shower door hardware industry, has added the new “Economy Beveled Series” to the company’s line of frameless shower door hinges. Designed with rounded corners and beveled edges, the solid forged brass Economy Beveled Series Hinge comes in two models, the 180º Glass-to-Glass Economy Series (H-EB180GTG) and the Wall Mount with Full Back Plate Economy Series (H-EBGTW-FP).



OGMA announces Fall Golf Tournament

B.C. Upfitters joins The Glass Racking Company's sales and service network
Aug. 20, 2010 – The Glass Racking Company has announced that B.C. Upfitters is now able to offer sales and service on Glass Racking Company's line of glass handling solutions. Glass Racking Company manufactures a number of different solutions, from glass truck racks to factory glass trolleys.



CGA establishes two new provincial associations
Aug. 3, 2010 – The Canadian Glass Association (CGA) recently took a huge step forward in solidifying its status as a national association for glaziers across the country.

Truseal's Gus Coppola promoted to senior VP at Quanex

Coppola, 61, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Quanex Building Products, reporting to David D. Petratis, chairman and chief executive officer. Coppola was formerly the president of the company’s Truseal business. In his new role, Coppola’s key responsibility will be to serve as the champion of Quanex’s Project Nexus initiative.



Hartung Wilsonville certified as Guardian SunGuard Fabricator
July 21, 2010 – Hartung Glass Industries (HGI) and Guardian Industries have announced that Hartung Glass Wilsonville is the latest HGI location to be certified as an independent Guardian Select Fabricator. This will free up capacity in HGI’s Seattle and Sacramento facilities, allowing the company to provide better service and product selection to existing customers while progressively expanding in the high performance IGU markets in Alberta and British Columbia, as well as Colorado, Hawaii and Texas.




Guardian Industries bets on solar panel mirror production
July 19, 2010 – Guardian Industries has made its money through glass, particularly building and automotive glass, over many years and done so quite successfully. Now the Auburn Hills firm is placing its bet on solar technology and expects it will pay big dividends soon.
