Jeld-Wen celebrates 50 years with volunteer initiative
June 14, 2010 – To celebrate 50 years of service, Jeld-Wen employees are giving back to communities across Canada. Each plant or office has been challenged to donate 50 hours of volunteer time to a local, non-profit organization or charity. Over 1,700 employees will be taking part in this cross-Canada initiative.

Travelers adds SolarPak coverage to EnergyPak
 June 9, 2010 – According to the U.S. based National Renewable Energy Laboratory, a fourfold increase in demand for and production of solar photovoltaic (PV) is expected between 2008 and 2012. To help protect its clients that are installing solar panels and energy systems and operating solar farms, Travelers added SolarPak coverage to its EnergyPak series of insurance products and services offerings.

Laurence (CRL), the horizontal taper lock design of CRL’s TAPER-LOC Dry Glaze Glass Railing System has helped to reduce installation time by 50 percent or more. Now, the company has added several new options to simplify installment – especially on uneven mounting surfaces.
