Win-Door registrations now open
 June 30, 2010 – Registrations for Canada's biggest fenestration event – Win-Door 2010 – are now officially open. Win-Door 2010 takes place November 16 - 18 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
Alcoa to acquire Traco
June 28, 2010 – Alcoa has announced that it has agreed to purchase privately held Traco, a manufacturer of windows and doors for the commercial building and construction market. Traco will become part of Alcoa's global Building and Construction Systems business. Terms were not disclosed.
Jury announced for 2010 Solutia World of Color Awards
June 24, 2010 – Solutia has announced the jury members for the first annual Solutia World of Color Awards: Inspired by Vanceva. The international competition pays tribute to architects, interior designers, furniture designers and other industry professionals who have creatively used Vanceva colour interlayers for laminated glass in their work.
Viracon adds new member to architectural design team
 June 23, 2010 – Viracon has added a new member to its architectural design team. The company has hired Lance Lawrence, LEED AP to be its newest architectural design specialist. In his new role, Lawrence will work closely with architects and specifiers in all Viracon markets.
Bohle to double booth space at GlassBuild 2010
 June 22, 2010 – After the great success that Bohle America had at GlassBuild last year in Atlanta, the company has announced that that it will double its floor space at this year´s Las Vegas´ show and will be represented at a 20´x 40´ booth (# 1865).
Somaca/CRL introduces Four Cup Flat and Seam Edger
 June 21, 2010 – The Sommer & Maca Machinery Division of C.R. Laurence will introduce the Somaca SM4C Four Cup Wheel Flat and Seam Edger at this September’s GlassBuild Show in Las Vegas.
Jeld-Wen conferred the Energy Star Award for Sustained Excellence
June 18, 2010 – Door and window manufacturer Jeld-Wen has been honoured
with one of the industry’s most coveted awards, the 2010 Energy Star
Award for Sustained Excellence.The Natural Resources Canada award
underscores Jeld-Wen’s commitment to promoting Energy Star certification
and its efforts to constantly make its products more energy efficient.
Viracon expands Viraspan colours and silk-screen pattern offerings
 June 18, 2010 – In response to customer requests, Viracon has expanded its Viraspan Design silk-screen product line. The new Viraspan Design Distinction Series offers four standard patterns.
Hartung Glass acquires Holcam Sales
 June 18, 2010 – Hartung Glass Industries and Holcam Sales, Inc. have announced that the companies have signed a definitive agreement under which Hartung has acquired Holcam, a long time respected Seattle based bath & shower enclosure manufacturer. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CRL purchases Blumcraft
June 15, 2010 – C.R. Laurence has announced that the company has completed the purchase of Blumcraft of Pittsburgh, an icon in the architectural metal and glass industry.
