Hartung Glass Industries opens in Vancouver
Jan. 5, 2010 – Hartung Glass Industries and AGC Flat Glass North America Ltd., a subsidiary of the Tokyo based Asahi Glass Company, have announced that the companies have signed a definitive agreement under which Hartung has acquired the Metro Vancouver location of AGC Flat Glass, a leader in insulated glass unit manufacturing and glass distribution. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Edgetech I.G. appoints Bruce Hodges to quality engineer
 Jan. 5, 2010 – Edgetech I.G. has announced that Bruce Hodges has been appointed to Quality Engineer at the company’s Cambridge, Ohio, facility. Hodges brings more than 22 years of related experience to his new role, most recently as manufacturing engineering manager for Visteon Corporation.
Dlubak adds to sales team
 Jan. 4, 2010 – Glass manufacturer Dlubak Corporation, headquartered in Blairsville, Pa., has announced three additions to its sales team. The new team members are Richard Verdon of the RSVP Agency, and Frank Cavallo and Colin Durkin of Tekton Consulting.
Calgary's Peace Bridge is underway
 Jan. 4, 2010 – City of Calgary officials have announced that construction of the "Peace Bridge," a signature-design by world-renowned architect, engineer and artist, Santiago Calatrava will proceed. The bridge is a helical steel structure with glass roof and sides.
